Amanda Swerdlow

Supporting Consultant

Amanda brings over two decades of experience building research, evaluation, and accountability systems for large public school districts, with deep expertise in translating complex data into strategy that senior leaders and boards can act on.

Most recently, Amanda served as Director of Research, Evaluation, and Accountability at Fulton County Schools, where she directed data and accountability functions across more than 100 schools and led a 15 person team. She rebuilt the district’s evaluation portfolio around a systematic, criteria driven method, replacing an ad hoc approach and redirecting attention toward the district’s highest cost, least examined programs. She was the first in the district to apply program evaluation methods to an operational department, merging evaluation and management consulting disciplines to extend her team’s reach across the organization.

As a Strategic Data Project Fellow at Harvard University’s Center for Education Policy Research, she developed predictive analytics and early warning indicators to inform dropout prevention strategy from longitudinal student data.

Earlier in her career, Amanda led literacy strategy and professional learning across more than 20 schools as a Humanities Program Specialist, following a decade as a classroom teacher in DeKalb County Schools.
